This campaign brought North Texas together around a shared belief: public service should solve problems, stand up for working families, and make government answer to the people it serves.
Across TX-33, Zeeshan listened to residents talk about the rising cost of living, healthcare they could not afford, housing they were being priced out of, immigration enforcement that split families apart, and the feeling that no one in Washington was listening. Those conversations shaped this campaign, and they matter far beyond Election Day.

Economic Justice for Working Families
- A $20/hr federal minimum wage indexed to inflation
- Invest in local jobs, infrastructure, and clean energy
- An economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy elite
Healthcare for Every American
- Guaranteed universal coverage through Medicare for All
- Lower prescription drug prices for families and seniors
- Expand funding for mental health and women's health services
Immigration & Human Rights
- A clear pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants and DACA recipients
- Close for-profit detention centers and protect due process
- Abolish and Prosecute ICE
Peace, Justice & Palestinian Self-Determination
- End U.S. support for genocide, apartheid, occupation, and forced displacement in Palestine and support Palestinian self-determination
- Oppose war with Iran and prioritize diplomacy over another open-ended Middle East war
- Reject AIPAC influence and campaign money and put human rights and international law at the center of U.S. foreign policy
Housing & Neighborhood Stability
- Expand rent control and fair eviction protections
- Build millions of deeply affordable housing units
- Ban discriminatory zoning practices
Civil Rights & Civil Liberties
- Full repeal of qualified immunity for police and public officials
- End the PATRIOT Act and mass surveillance
- Protect communities targeted by surveillance and profiling
Political Reform & Accountability
- Ban corporate PAC money in our politics
- Support term limits for Congress
- Challenge the influence of special interests and dark money
What the movement achieved
This movement produced real results.
The power built through this campaign did not disappear after the Primary. It was put to work immediately in local and congressional elections, proving that grassroots organizing can do more than raise awareness. It can shape outcomes.
Fahad Ahmed elected to Irving City Council
The coalition, credibility, and voter engagement built during the TX-33 campaign helped elect Fahad Ahmed in District 6 — a major moment for Valley Ranch and the broader North Texas Muslim community.
A stronger platform in the TX-33 runoff
Our coalition engaged Colin Allred directly and made clear that support had to be earned through real commitments on human rights, humane immigration policy, economic justice, and accountability. To his credit, he listened.
Political courage, proven possible
The movement showed candidates that taking principled positions is not a liability. Voters are searching for leaders willing to speak honestly about the issues that matter.
These were not symbolic victories. City Hall matters. Congress matters. And when our community shows up with discipline, clarity, and courage, candidates listen.
